Requirements
I. Position Summary:
Provide flight and ground instruction to initial, upgrading, transitioning and recurrent JetBlue Pilots.
II. Essential Functions:
• Provide flight instruction in a full flight simulator
• Provide flight instruction in flight training devices
• Provide ground school instruction in aircraft specific and general Pilot operational subjects
• Assist with courseware development and other collateral duties associated with Pilot flight training
III. Minimum Qualifications:
• Airline Transport Pilot (Airbus A320 type rating preferred)
• One (1) year as a Part 121 Pilot or one (1) year as a Certified Flight Instructor (Check Airman or Simulator Instructor experience in turbojet aircraft preferred)
• Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of Microsoft 2000/XP and Microsoft Office (especially Microsoft PowerPoint 98/2000/XP)
• Regular attendance is required
• Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Fun and Passion
• Must be well groomed and maintain a professional appearance
• Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
• Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
• When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable Crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
IV. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Ability to effectively communicate in English

Equipment:
• Computer and other office equipment
• Full Flight Simulators
• Flight Training Devices
• Normal classroom equipment
Work Environment:
• Normal office environment
• Some simulated aircraft level noise
• Irregular shift work, training center is operated up to 24 hours per day, 7 days per week
• Occasional temporary work assignments in New York or sub bases
• Occasional on call/reserve duty
Physical Effort:
• Generally not required, or up to 10 pounds occasionally, 0 pounds frequently. (Sedentary)
