TECHNICIAN SR. SIMULATOR Duties

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION: Cares for multi-million dollar assets (aircraft full flight simulators) of the airline,which aremission critical pieces of equipment.Render proper preventative maintenance to extend the asset life and value, and to diagnose and repair simulators in a quick and efficient manner. Incorporate engineering changes to maintain configuration with the aircraft simulated. Performs operational checks and tests of simulator and simulated aircraft systems (B737, B757, and A320) and components in all phases of flight. Diagnoses and repairs reported and unreported simulator and simulated aircraft system and component faults. Recognizes intended vs. actual simulator software operation, and corrects or re-programs as indicated. Identifies power and logic faults susing schematics and test equipment, and corrects or coordinates corrective action as indicated. Verifies correct computer and peripheral equipment operation, and identifies and corrects faults by interpreting schematics, using diagnostic equipment and referring to manufacturer documentation. Recognizes, diagnoses, and remedies aircraft avionics faults. Maintains and updates shop, simulator, and aircraft logs, manuals, and documentation. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Undergraduate degree, in a mechanical, electronic, or similar technical discipline (or an equivalent combination of education and experience) 3 to 5 years experience in maintaining full motion vehicular simulators, aviation preferred 3 to 5 years experience in Fortran 77 programming language preferred
