GSE Repair Technician Duties

Job Location: Minneapolis Minnesota

JOB OBJECTIVE
Responsible for maintaining and servicing all of Mesaba Airlines ground support service equipment along with completing the required paperwork to ensure proper compliance with company procedures.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Repairs and overhauls all ground support equipment as needed or directed.
Performs troubleshooting of ground support equipment as needed.
Maintains equipment in a safe condition performs preventative and routine maintenance servicing.
Keeps tools and support equipment in safe and operational working conditions.
Keep work areas clean and free of hazards.
Performs other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum Education and/or Experience Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
2 years experience of repairs to automotive or heavy equipment
Certifications not required but helpful
Some practical electrical knowledge or experience
Valid drivers license with good record
Able to lift 70 lbs.

Skills Required:
Ability to work independently
Good mechanical skills

Working Conditions:
50% indoors shop
50% outside in all weather conditions
Driving and working around aircraft
Working with high voltage such as 400 volts 72 volts and 28 volts on a frequent basis.

Working Hours:
Shift hours by station/mornings afternoon and evening
