Senior Project Manager Duties
As Senior Program Manager for Field Operations—US - Caribbean will provide leadership and management for information technology (IT) maintenance service projects. The Senior Program Manager will plan and execute all aspects of contracted programs while assuming full accountability for the successful management of staffing business development technical contractual financial and schedule of maintenance services for land mobile radio (LMR) network and airport equipment technologies. Leadership and management responsibilities shall extend from customer proposal to full program operation. Success of programs shall be measured by customer satisfaction technical resolutions scheduled milestones and achievement of financial targets.
Roles and Responsibilities:
-#61607; Plan and execute all aspects of contracted maintenance service programs. Has P-L responsibility for assigned business base. -#61607; Provide leadership to field operations teams and drive technical excellence. Ensure effective utilization of assigned staff. -#61607; Proactively manage project scope to ensure contract requirements are delivered. Work with customer to anticipate needs of program/contract. -#61607; Identify manage and assist in mitigation of program risks (technical schedule and financial) -#61607; Responsible for business development activities to grow existing business and expansion to new locations. Meet with potential customers assist in preparation of technical and management proposals and contribute to contract negotiations. -#61607; Serves as primary customer contact for program activities leading new program review sessions with customer to discuss cost schedule and technical objectives/performance.
Extensive travel (50%) for the first few months - will decrease to 25-30% over time.
Minimum of seven to ten years (7-10) airport experience with specialization in IT maintenance in airport environments. Previous experience in airport field operations required. Minimum 5 years experience serving in a leadership/supervisory capacity. Proven track record managing programs supporting costs schedules budget and meeting operational goals. Strong financial management background required. Effective communication (written oral and presentation skills) negotiation interpersonal organizational and personnel management.
Bachelors Degree required. PMP Certification or must be obtained within first 6 months of employment.
