Cargo Agent Duties
Brief Job Description: Customers Service Agents process cargo at the cargo service area and assist in Ramp Operations. This position will have frequent face-to-face customer contact and communication
Responsibilities: Check cargo. Communicate with customers one on one to relay cargo and flight information. Be aware of and enforce federal aviation regulations and security directives on air travel. Assist in other related activities in the CARGO area.
Qualifications: Valid driver’s license. Reliable transportation to and from the warehouse Knowledge of Ramp functions Excellent customer relations and communication skills Ability to work a flexible schedule to include days evenings weekends and holidays Typing speed 25 wpm General computer knowledge experience with CMS or OpenRes is a plus Ability to lift up to 70 pounds Thorough understanding of ramp operations Ability to work inside and outside Belief and support of AirTran Airways’ Guiding Principles: Safety Courtesy Pride Teamwork and Innovation Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship Ability to provide 10 years of employment education unemployment history per FAR 108.33 Successful completion of FBI criminal history check that reveals no felony convictions in most recent 10 years
