Sr. Tool and Gage Inspector Jobs

Sr. Tool and Gage Inspector Duties

Overview:
Responsible for programming CNC CMM and developing and managing tooling and gage calibration program. Also will perform receiving inspection weld analysis PPAP layout inspection to support problem investigations and through-put tracking.


Responsibilities:
1. Program and operate CNC CMM - develop program information files; train others to operate CMM.
2. Develop coordinate and staff calibration systems for tooling and gages; perform tooling and gage calibrations.
3. Perform PPAP inspection on finished assemblies and purchased components.
4. Perform dimensional and material inspection to support QE’s in problem investigation and resolution.
5 Perform weld analysis (i.e. cut etch mount and inspect).
6. Perform receiving inspection on purchased components (i.e inspect tag system input (WDS) PC database input).
7. Compile and issue status and tracking reports.


Qualifications:
High school graduate (Associate’s Degree in a technical field preferred) and seven years closely related experience (of which a minimum of three years inspection or programming experience needed). Must have CNC programming skills sound GD-T knowledge ability to read blueprints and be computer literate. Database and Weld inspection knowledge a plus. Must be detail oriented and self-motivating.
