Requirements I. Position Summary: The Customer Service Airport Operations
Crew will check-in and verify Customers, tag bags, sell flights, meet arriving
flights, help prepare cabin for departure, process Customers on board aircraft,
assist Customers with special needs, and any ad-hoc requests as needed.
Individuals must be comfortable serving Customers and proficient in using
computers. Flexibility of schedule is necessary as the position requires
working mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Maintaining a positive,
good natured attitude through any problems is essential. II. Essential Functions:
• Check-in Customers • Customer verification • Tag Customer luggage • Process
Customers on board aircraft • Help prepare cabin for departure • Assist
Customers with special needs, e.g. Customers who need assistance in boarding
• Ad hoc assignments as requested by the Supervisor or General Manager III.
Minimum Qualifications: • High School Diploma or General Education Development
(GED) Diploma required • Minimum of two (2) years customer service/sales
experience required • Previous airline experience a plus • Must be able
to read, write, and speak English • Bilingual skills a plus • Willing to
travel and/or work variable hours • Must work flexible shifts, including
holidays and weekends • Must be at least 18 years old • Able to lift 75
pounds • Regular attendance is required • Must be an appropriate organizational
fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety,
Caring, Integrity, Fun and Passion • Must be well groomed and maintain a
professional appearance • Must pass a ten (10) year background check and
pre-employment drug test • Must be legally eligible to work in the country
in which the position is located • When working or traveling on JetBlue
flights, and if time permits, all capable Crewmembers are asked to assist
with light cleaning of the aircraft IV. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Must be computer literate • Able to follow safety guidelines • Able to
perform under pressure and fixed time constraints V. Working Conditions:
Equipment: • Computer and other office equipment • Jetbridge • Handheld
radios • Kiosks • Light Emitting Diode (LED) signs Work Environment: • Airport
environment. Subject to weather and elevated noise levels within Airport.
• Ability to work weekends or irregular shifts. Occasional trip to stations.
Physical Effort: • Moderate physical activity required by handling objects
up to 75 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently. (Medium)
