Technical Rep-Heavy Maintenance Duties

Requirements

I. Position Summary:

Represent JetBlue during maintenance repair and overhaul for the purpose of accomplishing heavy service requirements. Regular interface with Maintenance Planning Maintenance Control Technical Standards Quality Control Quality Assurance and Material Operation to address all maintenance requirements during a scheduled heavy service event.

II. Essential Functions:

• Coordinate pre-induction review with Maintenance Planning Material Operations Quality Control Engineering and the Maintenance/Repair/Overhaul (MRO) provider of required and additional maintenance tasks
• Lead and coordinate an onsite team to address various demands of the check
• Liaison with the MRO provider for all technical requirements of the service
• Approve additional requirements found during the inspection and suggest alternative solutions
• Provide concise daily written and verbal updates as to the progress of the service
• Review/check invoices for accuracy and dispute discrepancies with the MRO provider
• Interpret and understand the warranty issues and claims
• Coordinate with Flight Crews for arrivals and departures
• Apply for landing rights

III. Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Art in Business Administration or Maintenance Management preferred
• Ten (10) years industry experience with at least four (4) years in management
• Working Knowledge of Part 121 Federal Aviation Regulations
• Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
• Airbus A320 knowledge and experience preferred
• Working knowledge of Company manuals
• Previous heavy check experience a must
• Must be willing to travel to C-Check facilities for extended periods
• Valid Passport with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver License for the country in which you are applying
• Regular attendance is required
• Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture that is exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety Caring Integrity Fun and Passion
• Must be well groomed and maintain a professional appearance
• Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
• Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
• When working or traveling on JetBlue flights and if time permits all capable Crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

IV. Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word Excel and Adobe Acrobat
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical abilities
• Strong negotiation skills
• Solid team and people skills
• Ability to guide and attend to the needs of support team

V. Working Conditions:

Equipment:

• Computer and other office equipment
• Flight Trac DASH Visair

Work Environment:

• Combination of office and hanger floor environment subject to noise
• Requires irregular work hours and demands of your time
• Requires travel to different Maintenance Repair Organization providers as the needs of the service dictates some locations may be in an unstable political environment
• Must be able to be on the road for extended periods of time and to cope with and respect foreign customs and cultures

Physical Effort:

• Position requires extremely strenuous physical work involving objects in excess of 100 pounds occasionally and/or in excess of 50 pounds frequently. (Very Heavy)
